Dance videos account for billions of views on Youtube and Instagram each year, and dance content is the #2 most-watched content category on TikTok. Dance is culture, and dance is human. Yet despite dance’s extraordinary resonance, dancers live lives devoid of agency, respect, and financial stability. Groovetime’s goal is to allow every dancer on the planet to be able to fully benefit from the spectacular art that they create and share with the world.
We’re building the most fun and fashionable way to collect the hottest NFTs created by the best dancers in the world. It is what you get when you combine the fun of collecting your favorite comic books with the competition of Monopoly. Dancers are empowered to create dance videos and mint them as NFTs to be collected by their super fans. Each super fan competitively bids in live auctions to own dance NFTs to build their status as collectors. Each NFT purchase unlocks virtual creator branded apparel that a super fan can show off on their personal 3D avatars. NFT holders also receive cool perks such as VIP access to events hosted by the dance creator.
